Penpal box

Good range of products and a good excuse for me to write to family in England. Was really pleased with my box.

I am so happy I decided to try this Pencil Patch Subscription box! The products are absolutely lovely and super cute! The quality of the C&I branded stickers, washi tape and paper pads are amazing! The goodie bag was a very nice extra touch, chuffed it included a washi tape cutter. Very pleased with my box.

Loved the content and have happily been using everything. Am looking forward to receiving my next Pencil Patch box.

Too expensive for what you get

Lovely products

As per title - products are lovely as expected (although interestingly I think there’s been a slight packaging error with the washi tapes as their wrapper were the wrong way round - may want to check this!)
Anyway this review is specifically about the pj party box - bearing in mind it’s £40 you’d usually expect a bundle to be good value - ie less than purchasing individually.

Spoilers ahead for contents.

The contents were a small pencil case, a chocolate shaped pen, a chocolate shaped eraser, a key ring, a bookmark, 2 washi tapes, a to do list pad and an A5 lined notebook.

Now if that was all the subscription part then I do think it’s not great value - I am a fan of subscription boxes and have gone through quite a few and this is the first where the contents have seemed a bit sparse for the price.

There is a caveat here because it wasn’t very obvious - but it did say the first ten people to sign up would get a free goodie bag and I know I was one of the first as there was another email sent out days after my order saying they still had freebies available. Therefore I am assuming that the non matching items in my box were the freebie goodie bag and not part of the subscription itself.
The things I also received in the box were a set of “flooring” style washi tapes (very different - nice idea!), and a paper bag containing a cute paw pen, a boba sticker sheet, one of those little Japanese photo sticker books, and a whole load of PET stickers - like 20 small sheets with about 7 stickers on each. Very happy with the freebies! (Assuming they were the freebies!)

I would maybe say include stickers with the main subscription next time - whether a couple of matching die cuts, or a sheet, or even kiss cut PET or washi for something different. It just gives that little extra usable thing to play with straight away.

As I said, lovely products, no complaint or fault at all, just perhaps a slightly high price point?
